Few days back, the moon along with the clouds was looking so beautiful and the clouds surrounding it were giving it so many different moods that I experimented a bit with it. Here are some of the pics. Do tell me which ones you liked!
The blue and yellow color gradient gives a beautiful but mysterious feel. |
Got the blue tint using Tungsten for WB. Feeling blue? |
The covered moon gives it an ominous feel. |
The clouds form an interesting shape behind the moon. Does it look like a dragon to you? |
This one looks like it's from the set of a 1960 bollywood movie. Romantic and antique. |
Wonderful moon!!!!

DeleteSuperb pics.. Nice photography..where the pics taken in same day ? If so i guess u must have spent your whole night to get these amazing pics :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes they were all taken in the same day. The clouds were there with the moon only for a short time in the evening. I took these pics in a span of around 30 minutes.
DeleteMy vote's for the first one. Have you heard abt the rule of the thirds. If applied, the first one would have been even awesome. cheers.
ReplyDeleteThanks Muthu. In fact, I did try to position the moon in the upper third, but centered it horizontally as it looked nicer to me that way. But of course, what you suggested would also have looked nice!
DeleteBeautiful ones. Has a fairy tale appearance. maybe I should take your permission and borrow one for a story sometime.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I would be honored!
Deleteamazing shots!every frame contain a mystical touch...
ReplyDeleteThanks. Glad you could feel the mysticism in them.
DeleteIf I had to pick one, it would have to be the moon with the dragon clouds.
ReplyDeletewonderful..never seen this kind scene....:)
ReplyDeleteI guess I was lucky that day. :)
Deletewonderful ! second last reminds me of our country-India, not a dragon :) Maybe because I am in the mood of Independence Day :))

Great shots!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a Harry Potter movie, I tell you. My vote goes to the shot where the moon is hidden almost completely- it exists, yet cannot be seen.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, each capture in its own right! But the ones that blew me over were the third one (Tungsten) and the fourth (ominous covered moon). Love 'em. :)
